The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, on his re-election in the recently concluded governorship election in Ekiti State, describing the outcome as a clear affirmation of the people’s confidence in his leadership and performance.
In a statement issued by the Ebonyi State Government House, Governor Nwifuru said Oyebanji’s overwhelming victory was a reflection of his achievements in office over the past four years, particularly in the areas of infrastructure development, governance reforms, and human capital advancement.
On behalf of the government and people of Ebonyi State, Nwifuru extended warm congratulations to the re-elected governor, noting that the result of the election demonstrated that the people of Ekiti are committed to sustaining progressive governance.
“May I, on behalf of the people and government of Ebonyi State, congratulate you on your landslide victory in the recent Ekiti gubernatorial poll,” the governor said.
“Your re-election after four years confirms that you have laid a strong foundation for good governance and have pursued democratic ideals anchored on infrastructure, equity, fairness, and justice.”
He further commended the electorate in Ekiti State, describing them as discerning voters who prioritise good governance and development in their electoral choices.
“I am very elated that the people of Ekiti are indeed progressives and at all times sticklers for good governance, who avoided drift and leveraged the ballot to choose a leader with an unquenchable thirst for transformation,” he added.
Governor Nwifuru expressed optimism that Oyebanji’s renewed mandate would usher in a new phase of infrastructural expansion and human capital development in Ekiti State.
