The Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, has expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for re-nominating her as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.
In a statement, Obila described her re-selection as a rare honour and privilege, thanking Governor Nwifuru for the confidence reposed in her. She also conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the First Lady of Ebonyi State, Uzoamaka Mary-Maudline Nwifuru, for her unwavering support and motherly role.
The Deputy Governor equally expressed gratitude to the Minister of Works and former Governor of Ebonyi State, David Nweze Umahi, as well as his wife, Rachael Umahi, for their continued fatherly and motherly guidance, which she said had remained invaluable throughout her public service.
Obila further thanked the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels, party stakeholders, and the people of Ebonyi State for their unanimous support and confidence in her ability to continue serving as Deputy Governor.
Reaffirming her commitment to the administration’s development agenda, she pledged to remain steadfast in supporting Governor Nwifuru’s vision of consolidating the achievements of the People’s Charter of Needs.
She assured the Governor and the people of Ebonyi State that she would continue to serve with humility, dedication, loyalty, and resilience, emphasizing that she would never take the trust reposed in her for granted or disappoint the people.
The Deputy Governor also called on the people of the state to remain united and continue to support and mobilize for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that the party would secure a resounding victory.
