The Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Comrade Joseph Ugochukwu Onwe, has declared that no amount of propaganda or misinformation will derail Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s re-election bid in the 2027 governorship election.
Onwe made the assertion in a statement issued on Thursday while reacting to what he described as a coordinated campaign of falsehoods and manufactured narratives allegedly being propagated on social media by political opponents to discredit the administration of Governor Nwifuru.
He urged the people of Ebonyi State to disregard what he termed “desperate antics” of opposition elements, maintaining that governance should not be reduced to sensationalism and fake news.
According to him, Governor Nwifuru is a compassionate and people-oriented leader whose administration is built on the principles of the People’s Charter of Needs, with a strong commitment to justice, equity, and the welfare of the people.
The Deputy Governor’s aide stated that the governor’s leadership has continued to earn the confidence of Ebonyi residents through investments in infrastructure, education, civil service welfare, and human capital development.
He further claimed that the overwhelming majority of Ebonyians remain steadfast in their support for Governor Nwifuru and are prepared to back his re-election in 2027.
Onwe expressed confidence that no amount of orchestrated propaganda or misinformation would halt the state’s development or diminish the governor’s growing popularity, insisting that the administration’s achievements speak for themselves.
He called on the people of Ebonyi State to remain united, vigilant, and focused on sustaining the progress recorded under Governor Nwifuru’s leadership.
