The administration of Ebonyi State Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has continued to implement intervention programmes and projects aimed at improving the welfare and living standards of residents across the state.
According to the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Barr. Chief Ikeuwa Omebeh, the administration’s interventions have complemented the numerous human and capital development projects inherited from previous administrations while further expanding access to essential services.
Omebeh stated that the health sector has recorded significant interventions under Governor Nwifuru, particularly through the establishment and equipping of a state-of-the-art diagnostic centre with modern medical equipment, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) Scan machines.
He said the development has significantly reduced the need for Ebonyians to travel outside the state in search of advanced diagnostic services, thereby reducing the financial burden associated with medical travel.
According to him, residents can now access quality and affordable diagnostic services closer to home, enabling faster diagnosis and timely medical intervention while helping families conserve resources and potentially saving lives.
The Commissioner described the development as a practical demonstration of Governor Nwifuru’s People’s Charter of Needs, which, he said, places the health, welfare and wellbeing of Ebonyians at the centre of government policies and programmes.
Omebeh further maintained that the administration’s interventions across various sectors are aimed at improving the quality of life of residents and creating an environment where citizens can access essential services without unnecessary financial and logistical burdens.
He said the state government would continue to sustain interventions that directly impact the lives of the people.
