As the universal Catholic Church observes Fathering Sunday, Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has charged fathers to be alive to their responsibilities as heads of their Families
In a message of goodwill, Governor Nwifuru extends his heartfelt congratulations to all the noble men who have remained steadfast in faith, unity, and service to both the Church and Ebonyi State.
The Governor views fathers as the true pillars of moral leadership, community service, and spiritual commitment to the family.
“I am particularly pleased to note that this year’s programs honor and respect our elders and the vital stakeholders of Ebonyi State—those whose wisdom, sacrifice, and leadership have paved the way for the progress we enjoy today”, he notes.
He acknowledged the sacrifices fathers make to uphold the human genealogy in line with God’s purpose for mankind:
“Your continued efforts to uphold family values, promote peace, and foster development within both Church and society are commendable”.
While charging fathers to keep faith and hope alive, Governor Nwifuru urged fathers to leverage the celebration to “renew their strength, deepen faith in the Almighty God, sustain unity, and inspire greater impact in the Church and beyond” even as he prayed for continued “blessings upon Ebonyi fathers, and all who labor for the good of the people”.
