The First Lady of Ebonyi State, Uzoamaka Mary-Maudline Nwifuru, has reaffirmed her commitment to promoting the welfare of women, children, and vulnerable groups following a courtesy visit by the President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association, Hajiya Dr. Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu.
The visit took place at the Office of the First Lady in Centenary City, Abakaliki, where the NAOWA President was accompanied by the association’s executives and members.
Welcoming the delegation, Mrs. Nwifuru expressed appreciation to Hajiya Dr. Shaibu for the visit, describing it as a demonstration of the Association’s commitment to strengthening partnerships that promote the well-being of women and families.

She commended the NAOWA President for her exemplary leadership and dedication to the welfare and empowerment of women through various programmes and initiatives that have positively impacted military families and communities across the country.
The Ebonyi First Lady also expressed gratitude for the recognition and award presented to her by the Association in appreciation of her service and contributions to the development of Ebonyi State.

According to her, the honour is both humbling and inspiring, adding that it strengthens her resolve to continue championing policies and initiatives that improve the lives of women, children, and other vulnerable members of society.
Mrs. Nwifuru further reaffirmed her commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that promote empowerment, social inclusion, and sustainable development.

She expressed optimism about strengthening collaboration between the Ebonyi State Government and NAOWA to deliver impactful programmes that create lasting opportunities for women and children.
She thanked Hajiya Dr. Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu, the executives, and members of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association for the memorable visit and wished the Association continued success in its mission of supporting military families and contributing to national development.
