The All Progressives Congress (APC) has presented Hon. Odigwe Chibueze Nwelibe as its chairmanship candidate for the forthcoming Local Government Council Elections in Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The emergence of Chibueze, described as a young, educated and energetic grassroots politician, is being seen as part of the APC’s broader commitment to encouraging a new generation of leaders to take active roles in the development of the state.
Born on July 7, 1986, into the family of High Chief Odigwe Nwelibe Oketa of Enwumini Nkaleke, Oguzoronweya Community, Chibueze is said to have been raised with strong family values and a deep sense of responsibility towards his community.
His candidacy also aligns with the administration’s emphasis on youth participation in leadership and governance, particularly under the leadership of Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
Beyond introducing new energy into the leadership of Ebonyi LGA, Chibueze is expected to build on the achievements of the outgoing Council Chairman, Prince Uburu Chinedu.
His supporters say his understanding of the importance of continuity will enable him to consolidate existing achievements while introducing fresh ideas and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and development of the people.
With the APC campaign now moving into Ebonyi LGA, the party is presenting Chibueze as a candidate capable of combining continuity with innovation and youthful leadership.
The campaign message is centred on preserving programmes and projects that are delivering results, improving areas that require greater attention, and ensuring that the benefits of good governance are felt across communities in Ebonyi LGA.
