Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has reaffirmed his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that the party’s immediate political priority is to secure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
The Governor also ruled out any form of political coalition, insisting that the APC would remain focused on presenting a united front in support of all its candidates across the various elective positions.
“Our project is how to deliver our President, and that is our project for now.”

APC is the only party that has an open manifesto. We can discuss our manifesto with you, unlike other political parties.
“We don’t have a coalition; we are for all the candidates of the APC, not coalition,” Governor Nwifuru declared.
He made the remarks on Saturday at Okpara Square, Enugu State, where he joined Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at the flag-off of an empowerment programme for over 5,000 women organised by the Women Mobilisation Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

The event, themed “One Region, One Vision: Empowered for Progress,” brought together women, political leaders and other stakeholders from across the South-East region to promote political mobilisation and support for President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
Governor Nwifuru further maintained that all loose ends had been tied up in the interest of the APC, emphasising the need for unity and collective commitment among party members ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

In her remarks, the First Lady explained that the over 5,000 women selected for the empowerment initiative were beneficiaries who had demonstrated commitment to the APC and consistently defended the party’s interests across the South-East region.
She noted that the initiative was being implemented in line with the objectives of the Renewed Hope Initiative.

Also in attendance was the wife of the Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru.
