Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has further demonstrated his administration’s commitment to promoting academic excellence by approving automatic employment for First Class graduates of Ebonyi State University (EBSU) as lecturers in the institution.
The initiative comes in addition to the administration’s recently announced automatic postgraduate scholarship scheme for all First Class graduates of the university, underscoring the government’s determination to reward outstanding academic performance while investing in the future of education in Ebonyi State.
Under the policy, graduates who earn First Class degrees from EBSU will not only receive state-sponsored opportunities to pursue higher academic qualifications but will also have the opportunity to join the university’s academic workforce, enabling the institution to retain some of its brightest talents.
The policy is widely seen as a strategic investment in human capital development, aimed at strengthening the quality of teaching, research, and innovation within the state’s premier university.
Governor Nwifuru’s administration has consistently placed education at the centre of its development agenda, introducing policies designed to encourage academic excellence, expand access to quality education, and create sustainable opportunities for young people.
By linking exceptional academic performance with guaranteed career opportunities, the governor is fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring that Ebonyi State benefits directly from the intellectual capacity of its finest graduates.
The latest initiative reinforces the administration’s vision of building a knowledge-driven society where merit is rewarded and education serves as a catalyst for sustainable development.
