Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to people-centered governance through a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening security, expanding educational opportunities, and improving the welfare of vulnerable residents across the state.
The governor’s activities during the week reflected the core objectives of his People’s Charter of Needs, with a strong emphasis on compassion, human capital development, and sustainable security as critical pillars of development.
As part of efforts to enhance security, Governor Nwifuru commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting measures to strengthen the nation’s security architecture, particularly the establishment of the Nigerian Army Depot in Amasiri-Edda, Ebonyi State. According to the governor, the facility will not only improve military preparedness but also boost economic activities and promote lasting peace in the state and the South-East region.
The governor also reiterated his administration’s resolve to maintain a peaceful environment by sustaining collaboration with security agencies and community stakeholders to safeguard lives and property across Ebonyi.
In the education sector, Nwifuru continued to demonstrate his administration’s commitment to investing in human capital development. He has consistently maintained that education remains one of the strongest tools for combating poverty, ignorance, and unemployment, while positioning young people for future leadership and economic productivity.
His administration has continued to support scholarship programmes, educational infrastructure, and policies designed to improve learning outcomes and expand access to quality education for Ebonyi residents.
