The First Lady of Ebonyi State, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Ogbonna Nwifuru, has expressed gratitude to God and appreciation to all who contributed to the success of the 2026 Ebonyi Women August Meeting.
Mrs. Nwifuru, while reflecting on the grand finale of the annual event, described the celebration as a beautiful demonstration of unity, love and joy among Ebonyi women.

She expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Princess Patricia Obila, who represented the Governor at the grand finale.
The First Lady also acknowledged the Honourable Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, who served as Chairman of the occasion and was represented by Deacon Austin Umahi, for honouring the event with his presence.

She extended her appreciation to the celebrities, special guests and other dignitaries who participated in the celebration, noting that their presence, energy and warmth contributed to making the event memorable.
Mrs. Nwifuru particularly charged women who benefited from the empowerment programme to make judicious use of the support provided.
She urged the beneficiaries to invest wisely in their businesses, expand their ventures and ensure that the impact of the empowerment extends to their families and communities.

The First Lady expressed optimism that the beneficiaries would translate the opportunities provided through the programme into meaningful economic growth and improved livelihoods.
Reflecting on the theme of the 2026 August Meeting, Mrs. Nwifuru said it underscored the important role of women in loving, nurturing, building, supporting and positively transforming their families and communities.
She urged Ebonyi women to carry the lessons of the celebration beyond the August Meeting and continue to contribute meaningfully to the development of their families, communities and the state.

She further thanked every woman who participated in, supported or contributed to the success of the 2026 August Meeting, describing their collective efforts as instrumental to the success of the celebration.
Mrs. Nwifuru prayed for continued blessings upon Ebonyi women and the state, expressing hope that the spirit of unity and empowerment fostered by the event would continue to yield positive results.
