Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawa Goshe Yilwatda, on the occasion of his 58th birthday.
In a congratulatory message issued on Saturday, August 8, 2026, Governor Nwifuru described Yilwatda as a distinguished academic, patriotic Nigerian and astute politician whose contributions to the growth and stability of the APC and the country deserved commendation.
The governor said the APC National Chairman’s 58 years represented a remarkable journey of intellectual excellence, patriotic service, political sagacity and commitment to the development of the ruling party and Nigeria.
Nwifuru particularly praised Yilwatda’s academic background as a Professor of Computer Engineering, noting that his intellectual versatility, analytical skills and problem-solving abilities had positively influenced his political leadership.
According to him, Yilwatda has brought to the administration of the party “the discipline of an academic, the precision of an engineer and the strategic foresight of a seasoned politician.”
The governor further credited the APC National Chairman with strengthening internal democracy, party structures and cohesion since assuming office.
He said Yilwatda’s conciliatory leadership, strategic engagement and ability to build consensus had helped make the APC more resilient and attractive to its members, despite the challenges confronting political parties.
“Your political astuteness and sagacity have injected a new sense of direction, confidence and cohesion into the party.
“Under your leadership, we have witnessed what can rightly be described as a rebirth of the party, with renewed enthusiasm among members and stronger confidence in its ability to accommodate diverse interests while pursuing a common political objective,” Nwifuru said.
The governor also described Professor Yilwatda as a friend of Ebonyi State, recalling his participation in the historic endorsement rally for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid held at the Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakaliki.
Nwifuru said Yilwatda’s presence at the rally demonstrated his solidarity with the people of Ebonyi State and commitment to the political advancement of the APC.
He described the celebrant’s life at 58 as “a celebration of service, intellect, courage and leadership,” adding that Nigeria was fortunate to have a leader of his calibre at a time when political parties required visionary, disciplined and intellectually grounded leadership.
The governor prayed God to grant Professor Yilwatda many more years of sound health, wisdom, strength and fulfilment, while enlarging his capacity for service and enabling him to continue contributing to the development of the APC and Nigeria.
