Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s commitment to comprehensive development has continued to reshape Ebonyi State’s education sector, with renewed emphasis on infrastructure alongside ongoing investments in human capital development.
Beyond initiatives such as improved staff welfare, scholarship programmes, reduced school fees, and enhanced learning conditions, the administration has also prioritised the provision of modern infrastructure to support quality education.
One of the latest interventions is the construction of concrete-paved internal roads at the permanent site of Ebonyi State University (EBSU). The project has significantly improved accessibility within the institution while creating a more conducive environment for teaching, learning, and academic activities.
The development reflects the Governor’s holistic approach to governance, recognising that sustainable progress in education requires not only investments in people but also in the physical infrastructure that supports academic excellence.
According to the Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Mr. Leo Ekene Oketa, the road project demonstrates Governor Nwifuru’s understanding that meaningful transformation is achieved when every aspect of development is given attention.
He noted that the administration’s integrated approach to governance continues to position Ebonyi State’s educational institutions for improved service delivery and long-term growth.
The latest infrastructure project further underscores Governor Nwifuru’s vision of comprehensive leadership, where human capital development is complemented by strategic investments in critical infrastructure to deliver lasting benefits for students, staff, and the wider Ebonyi community.
