The First Lady of Ebonyi State, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Ogbonna Nwifuru, has invited women across the state to participate in the 2026 August Meeting Grand Finale, scheduled to hold on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
The grand finale, with the theme “The Power of Resilient Women in Nation Building,” is expected to bring together women from across Ebonyi State to celebrate their contributions to families, communities and the development of the state.
In her invitation to Ebonyi women, the First Lady described the theme as one that resonates deeply with the experiences of women, noting that women have continued to demonstrate courage and strength in the face of numerous challenges.
She said women have consistently supported their families, communities and society at large while remaining resilient and hopeful despite difficulties.
According to her, the August Meeting provides an opportunity for women to come together in unity and sisterhood, connect with one another, share experiences, learn, celebrate their achievements and reflect on their important role in building a stronger Ebonyi State and Nigeria.
She urged women across the state to make their presence felt at the event, stressing that “your presence matters, and your voice matters.”
The First Lady also encouraged participants to invite other women to the gathering, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective action among women.
The 2026 August Meeting Grand Finale will take place at the Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakaliki, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
